Sam Brumley – Owner – Education Station was purchased from Gail Fuller, Teachers Touch, in November 1994. The name was changed to Teachers With Class due to Gail’s publishing company with the same name. We found over time that parents wanted to come shop but were intimidated by the name. In 1998 the name was changed to the present name, Education Station. Sam, longtime educator in the region knows first hand the very real need for teachers to have strong resource and learning materials available to them. Sam is consistently updating the store to ensure that each year the materials available to teachers are the finest classroom tools available. Sam has established strong partnerships within the Hill Country region and has been recognized for her work and commitment to education through the “Station.” She has a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Texas State. In 2003, Sam was inducted in the San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame. Sam is not only a businesswoman and past teacher, she is also a mother of three wonderful children and wife to local businessman Kevin Brumley.
Sam’s focus with both Education Station and Scrapbook Depot is to select the best and the brightest products available. Sam believes in the power of teachers and parents and their commitment to their students and children.
Since the summer of 2004 Education Station and Scrapbook Depot has been housed in a new expansive location at 1941 IH 35 South Suite 101. In January 2008, Education Station celebrates its 15th Anniversary.

April Sandoval – Education Station Store Manager. April is the backbone of the store. She has been a blessing to me, the customers and the students of Texas State in the Education Dept. April attends training from the NSSEA( National School Supply & Education Association) to stay on top of the newest advances and products in education. She is daughter to locals Avelina R. and Chuy Sandoval. She is a sister and an aunt. She is also an extremely active volleyball player and coach. April is a 1992 graduate of San Marcos High School, and she's from Martindale, Texas. She's worked for Education Station for over ten years and is a great resource for teachers and parents. She's well-versed in all the supplies and needs of educators and enjoys working with all the parents, scrapbookers and teachers who come to shop!
Her hobbies are volleyball, scrapbooking and her family.
Our staff is comprised of high school and Texas State students. Elena, Sarah, Taylor, Marin, Qiana, Karly, and Kelley are always happy to answer any questions in education. Stop in today to see them!
Jonathan works in our stock room and does all of our receiving. He is a helping hand when it comes to assembling and unloading all of our new products!
Elena: Elena attends Texas State University as a Food Science major. Elena likes working at Education Station because it is family owned, and she loves the atmosphere. She also enjoys getting to know the customers, and she gets to see all the new products that comes into the store. Elena's hometown is Dallas, Texas, her favorite color is purple, and her favorite pet is her huge beast of a dog, her golden doodle, Ty. She would also like to own a sugar glider one day.
Sarah: Sarah attended Texas State University as a Psychology major, but decided that as much as she loved psychology, that is not what she wanted to be doing as her career. Sarah loves working at Education Station because of the people, from Sam to April and all her amazing coworkers to the customers themselves. Sarah's favorite hobby is to challenge herself by learning new things so she has a lot hobbies including clothing design, exploring space and nature, baking and painting. But her favorite thing to do is read. Sarah's favorite pets are her weiner dog, Scarlett, and hers parents Rottweiler, Augie. Sarah's hero is her husband Elvis. Sarah describes him as smart, thoughtful, supportive, kind and amazingly talented, and is madly in love with her hubby and doesn't know what she would ever do without him.
Kelley: Kelley will be a junior at San Marcos High School. She loves working at Education Station because of the wonderful people working here, and the family we invite customers to join the minute they walk through the door. In her free time, Kelley enjoys being crafty and has a blast doing wacky projects and designing scrapbook layouts. Kelley's favorite items in the store are the way cool pencil grips and Gesturz pens. They are fluorescent colored pens that display a pen making a hand gesture (peace sign, thumbs up, hang loose, number one, etc.) and they are without a doubt "the best thing since the iPod" as Kelley describes them. To help Kelley study she always uses obnoxious writing implements to make studying more fun!!!
Marin: Marin attends Texas State University where she is persuing her degree in Communication Design which is part of the art department. She loves working at Education Station because of the friendly atmosphere and she gets to help people all over the store. Marin's absolute favorite color is pink and her hometown is The Woodlands, Texas. Her favorite pet is her puppy, who is a little white maltese who keeps her very busy and whom she loves to spend her free time.
Taylor: Tayor is majoring in Elementary Education at Texas State University. She likes working at Education Station because it helps give her a good idea of the items she is going to need in her own classroom in the future. There are so many educational tools that she cant wait to use in her own classroom. Taylor's favorite pet is her West Highland Terrior named Charlie who is always there for her when she is stressed and needs a smile on her face. When Taylor has down time she like to invite friends over, pop some popcorn and watch a movie or play board games which makes her feel like a kid again! Taylor's heroes are her mom and grandma. These two ladies didn't get a chance to go to college but each have wonderful careers and have made sure that Taylor would attend college she that she will not struggle the way they did. They are both so supportive which has helped Taylor so much during her college career.
Qiana: Qiana will be leaving us this summer to move to New York!
Karly: Karly will be leaving us after the summer to persue her teaching career in Austin!
CONGRATULATION TO YOU BOTH BUT WE WILL MISS YOU!
